Plan out your next "Diet Trip"

Do you ever go on a vacation by just jumping in a car and taking off...
No! You plan on where you are going, how to get there and pack things you will need on the trip.
The same philosophy should apply to losing weight! How can you lose weight and get healthy and not have a plan? How do you expect to get somewhere if you don’t know where you are or where you are going?
Tip: You need to write down your exact goals.
I don’t mean “I want to lose weight”. You need to write down your specific goals, why you want to reach your goal and how you will accomplish them.
For example, write down: “I want to lose 15 pounds in 9 weeks so I can fit into my new black dress for the holidays” “I will accomplish this by exercising 3 times per week, taking a healthy lunch to work and also watching my total calories each day”.
Notice in the example I’m setting a realistic goal of losing between 1-2 pounds per week. Fitting into my new sexy black dress for the holidays is my goal or reward. I have also come up with a game plan to reach my goal: exercise and cutting calories by not eating out at lunch. By writing my goals down, I have a plan to follow and I’m more confident in reaching my destination (that little black dress!).
If you don’t believe me…jump in the car, close your eyes and see if you can make it to Disney World.
